Patrick J. Cleary leads the US commercial sales division as Senior Vice President Cement Sales. He is a member of the US Cement Executive Committee, reporting directly to the CEO.
The US sales team stretches over 43 states and includes more than 100 employees dedicated to providing unchallenged value to our customers through innovative solutions, products and services that assist in our clients’ growth and success. An accomplished sales leader, Mr. Cleary has launched a commercial transformation strategy focused on reigniting growth and increasing sales returns, resulting in sales of more than $2 billion and improved profitability.
Before his appointment, Mr. Cleary held a number of management roles of increasing responsibility at LafargeHolcim for more than 15 years. Previously, he headed commercial sales for the Midwest
Cement Region in 2015, Northeast Mid-Atlantic Region in 2013, and the Southern Plains Region in 2010 where he was responsible for outlining and implementing the strategic direction. His vast commercial experience across multiple markets and segments has enabled him to develop a customer centric approach in anticipating customers’ needs and delivering products and services that support them.
Mr. Cleary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and later received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington, Seattle, in 2006. Throughout his career, he has continued his professional development through management programs at INSEAD University in France and IMD University in Switzerland.
Mr. Cleary sits on the University of Rutgers Customer Experience Advisory Board, the American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) Board and is an active member in multiple industry associations.
