Matthew A. Dantinne leads aggregate operations as Head of the Mid-America Region. He is a member of the US ACM Executive Committee, reporting directly to the CEO.
The Mid-America region includes more than 550 employees at 23 manufacturing sites and ten barge and rail depots, and reaches from Wisconsin and Illinois down to the Louisiana Gulf Coast. He also is responsible for our Jamaica operations. An accomplished leader, Mr. Dantinne has successfully integrated regional operations, resulting in sales of more than $250 million and transforming joint venture operations in Jamaica to achieve profitability.
Before the 2015 corporate merger, Mr. Dantinne held a number of management roles of increasing responsibility at Lafarge for almost 20 years. Previously, he headed the West US Aggregates in 2014, River Market Aggregates in 2011 and Chicago Market Aggregates in 2009, where he improved sales and added new products and services. He also served as vice president of business development for Lafarge West US and Latin America, where he established an aggregates business in Mexico.
Mr. Dantinne holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, and later received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida, Gainesville, in 2002. Throughout his career, he continued his professional development through management programs at INSEAD University in France, Harvard Division of Continuing Education in Massachusetts, and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in Illinois.
