John Conlin was appointed Head of the Mountain Region for the Aggregates and Construction Materials (ACM) business in January 2015. He sits on the executive committee for the US ACM organization and reports directly to the CEO.
In this position, he leads aggregate, ready-mix, asphalt and construction operations in Arizona, Nevada and Colorado. The Mountain Region comprises almost 600 employees across 25 production sites.
Throughout his career, Mr. Conlin has introduced key initiatives to transform the business and develop effective teams to deliver exceptional results. He has been instrumental in implementing a national sales strategy and in improving operating margins. In addition, he has helped design a national mentoring program to support career development opportunities.
Prior to 2015, Mr. Conlin held a variety of senior roles of increasing responsibility at Aggregate Industries, previously a Holcim company, including commercial general manager in 2010 and general manager in 2013.
In 1998, Mr. Conlin worked as divisional manager at Unipart, managing the performance of 63 branches, followed by a role as operations manager for Tilcon (Oldcastle), both in the United Kingdom.
Mr. Conlin attended Reid Kerr College in Scotland where he completed course work in mechanical engineering. He also attended Cranfield University School of Management in England.
