The Portland Cement Association (PCA) is the premier policy, research, education and market intelligence organization serving America’s cement manufacturers. PCA members represent 92 percent of US cement production capacity and have facilities in all 50 states. The Association promotes safety, sustainability, and innovation in all aspects of construction, fosters continuous improvement in cement manufacturing and distribution, and generally promotes economic growth and sound infrastructure investment.

 

Founded in 1930, the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association is the leading industry advocate. Our mission is to provide exceptional value for our members by responsibly representing and serving the entire ready mixed concrete industry through leadership, promotion, education and partnering to ensure ready mixed concrete is the building material of choice.

 

The National Sand, Stone and Gravel Association (NSSGA) is the leading voice and advocate for the aggregates industry. Its members – stone, sand and gravel producers and the equipment manufacturers and service providers who support them – are responsible for the essential raw materials found in every home, building, road, bridge and public works project and represent more than 90 percent of the crushed stone and 70 percent of the sand and gravel produced annually in the United States.

 

The American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) is the world’s largest trade association that exclusively represents the interests of those involved with the design, construction, and preservation of concrete pavements. ACPA represents these interests at the national level to Congress, FHWA, FAA, national trade associations, and business organizations. ACPA supports research and promotion to improve the quality of concrete pavements and expand their use. ACPA provides engineering expertise, design tools, pavement specifications, construction best practices, and education to members and agencies.

 

The SCA is a nonprofit trade association representing producers and shippers of slag cement in the United States. The SCA with assistance from its various volunteer based committees operate several annual activities and programs in support of slag cement use in concrete mix design.

 

Our mission is to educate the building and design communities and policymakers on the benefits of ready mixed concrete and encourage its use as the building material of choice for low- to mid-rise structures. No other material can replicate concrete’s advantages in terms of strength, sustainability, durability, safety and ease of use.

 

Pave Ahead is an educational campaign and website designed to assist the industry, policy makers and other stakeholders when making decisions about how to pave with safety, reliability, sustainability and cost in mind.
