Guy Edwards, Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for the company’s Aggregates and Construction Materials (ACM) business in the United States. Mr. Edwards has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry.
As a strong business leader, he oversees a combined business of aggregates, concrete and asphalt/contracting product lines generating more than $2 billion. Mr. Edwards has introduced key commercial transformations including operational efficiencies in price and margin management and the development of value added products and services, with an underlying focus on safety.
Prior to the LafargeHolcim merger in 2015, he held a variety of senior roles of increasing responsibility for Aggregate Industries (AI), previously a Holcim company, both in the U.K and U.S. In 2013, Mr. Edwards served as a UK Executive Committee member responsible for European operations and in 2014, was named Chief Operating Officer for the AI US business.
His career also includes 25 years’ experience with Hanson, part of the Heidelberg Group, in England.
Mr. Edwards currently serves as an executive committee member for both the National Sand, Stone and Gravel Association (NSSGA) and National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA).
A UK national, Mr. Edwards received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering at Leeds University, in England, graduating with honors in 1988. He also completed the International Leadership Program at the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland.
