Eric Ervin is named Head of Manufacturing South for the cement business in the US and sits on the US Cement Executive Committee. Mr. Ervin manages roughly 780 employees across seven plants, geographically ranging from Utah to South Carolina.
In this position, Mr. Ervin implements local, regional and global initiatives for manufacturing supplies and equipment to achieve cost-savings, enhanced schedules and improved quality.
Mr. Ervin brings 27 years of industry experience at LafargeHolcim to his current role, evolving greatly from his time as a process and environmental engineer at Portland cement plant, Colorado, in 1992. Since then, he has held positions of progressive responsibility in field operations. Previously as General Manager, Slag Plants and the Regional Manufacturing Support Organization, Mr. Ervin delivered on operational performance in safety, cost and quality across 11 cement plants and three slag grinding plants.
Mr. Ervin graduated from University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo, Colorado, where he earned a Bachelor degree in chemistry and biology and a Master’s degree in applied natural science.
During his career tenure, Mr. Ervin has extended his education beyond the university setting. Most recently, he completed the Holcim Building Leader Performance training and attended the Holcim Senior Management Program at the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland.
