Chad Cornwell serves as Head of ACM Aggregate and Asphalt Performance and is responsible for overseeing the US Performance, Geology and Mining teams. He reports directly to the US CEO and sits on the ACM Executive Committee.
Mr. Cornwell is a seasoned industry leader with more than 19 years of experience in the field of construction materials. He began his career with LafargeHolcim in 2013 as a performance manager for US Aggregates, in which his continuous improvement approach helped achieve operational excellence at 67 mining sites.
Prior to his current role, he was Director of Performance for US Aggregates and Asphalt where he oversaw the performance business cycle, which helped reduce average US aggregate cost per ton by five percent over the previous year.
Preceding his work with LafargeHolcim, Mr. Cornwell held a variety of leadership roles. He was General Manager for Nally & Haydon, as well as Director of Operations -- Florida Sand for CEMEX. Throughout his career, he has also received leadership awards that include the 2016 LafargeHolcim US Aggregates Performance Leadership Award and the 2014 Lafarge Excellence in Safety Leadership Award.
Mr. Cornwell earned a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering with an emphasis in aggregates from the University of Missouri at Rolla. He has also completed a variety of leadership programs, such as the TXI Leadership and Mid Management programs and NSSGA Basic Supervisory Training.
